Canada Day - July 1

We had a great, albeit very busy, Canada Day this year.
We went to the Sherwood Park Canada Day parade in the morning with my brother in laws family and my best friends family. We had good seats right near the beginning of the route so the participants hadn't run out of candy.

We walked toward the Festival Place activities, stopped for a hotdog lunch and then walked back to the car through the farmers market. We hadn't packed yet for our family reunion in Wainwright and so unfortunately, our Sherwood park festivities were cut short.

Ready for our car ride.
We arrived in Wainwright and met our family at Camp Wainwright for their family activities. They had so much to do ... and I forgot my camera in the car! J enjoyed a bouncy castle and getting to pet a huge snake. They also had a petting zoo, music, canoe rides, a cardboard maze, separate bouncy castles for the different age groups, free t-shirts, food and the list goes on .....
We had dinner and then headed to our hotel to try out the pool.
E's first time ever in a swim suit and first time swimming. Unfortunately the water was quite cold and her and I's swimming was cut short but J and Daddy enjoyed the pool. J is still talking about how brave he was on the water slide!
Fun! Can't wait until next year and hopefully we'll be able to spend a bit more time at the Sherwood Park festivities.
