Dance class - Feb 11

Jude is in a ... wait for it ... dance class! 
Totally not what I would have ever expected to put him in. He's a shy guy and will rarely dance at home, let alone in a class. 
I was apprehensive to put him in the class. It was Saturday mornings, one of my 2 days a week I don't have to wake up to get somewhere. And also, I was worried Jude was going to sit in a corner and be too shy to participate. 
He's in the class with his cousin who is much more outgoing than Jude, and LOVES to dance. 
They are the only two boys in the class, all the songs are "girly."  He doesn't know he should be embarrassed, so I don't tell him. 
When they boys are listening and not causing a ruckus, it's actually really cute! 

Jude is not very flexible, just like his Daddy. 

Erik LOVED dressing up. Jude refused. 

Giving boys pirate swords was not a smart move. 

The strawberry shortcake dance was cute!

I'll post more pictures of the next class I attended. Cute!! 

Best buddies - Feb 10

Okay, so all these cute pictures from the last 3 "days" are from the same day .... but some days are better than others. This day was a cute kid and cute picture day! 
Jude hasn't really ever cared too much, one way or another about Milo. 
Elise on the other hand is currently IN LOVE with him. 
She wants to know where he is at all times. She calls him "puppy" even though she can say Milo. 
She comes to snuggle with I'm in his bed, and although he always gets up and moves, she always tries. 
She likes playing catch and tug of war with him too. 
He's a good sport. 

Finally! - February 9

Finally, my kids are learning to play. Together. 
Jude has a tendency to push Elise around. Elise has a tendency to be bossy. 
I was almost crying, laughing, watching them wrestle together, Jude letting Elise win every round. 
Adorable!! 

I think Jude was laughing so hard, he couldn't have fought back even if he wanted to!

Cheese - February 8

They each have their own "cheese" face. 

My little Cinderella - February 4

My little one like to dress up. 
It doesn't matter what. Shoes, sunglasses, hats; and her newest thing is a tutu. 
Such a girl! 
She found this tutu in her drawer and she insists on wearing it all the time. Even over her jammies. 
She was playing with her little house in the basement and I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of my little Cinderella. 

Too quiet - February 2

I could hear the kids playing while I sat down to write a quick email. 
Then suddenly it was too quiet. 

Before I ran to get my camera, they were both in here. I hadn't realized how big that cupboard was, they both fit in there easily!

They both like to hide, I'll have to remember that spot. 

"The line" - January 30

This is our "line" drawn on the floor.  If he passes it, the tv goes off. 
I remember my Dad having a line on our floor as kids too. 

A few good ones - January 29

It is SO HARD to get a picture of these two kids together, in the same room, let alone both looking. 
This took me lots of tries ... but a few ones worked! 

Haircut - Jan 28

This child was in desperate need of a trim. 
I did NOT cut his hair, I am nowhere near that brave. 
Beaners did it. They put the gel and colour in too. 
He looks so handsome and so grown up!

It's pretty rare that the two kids don't bath together but this night, Elise splashed as much as the two of them put together.

Milo: Age 7
